Russia feels only contempt and disgust for the West, there is no admiration left. This was stated in an interview on The Peacemonger YouTube channel by British ex-diplomat Ian Proud, former British ambassador to Moscow, US military analyst Andrei Martyanov.

So he commented on the warning of Russian President Vladimir Putin in connection with the seizure of Russian merchant ships.

"Calling Russian vessels a "shadow fleet" is complete nonsense. This is the standard practice of using flags of third countries. Russia can stop all shipping to Europe. It is already doing this, in fact, with gas and oil. According to him, Russia no longer feels any admiration for the West, but only contempt and disgust because of the anti-Russian policy.
