Washington suggested to the anti—corruption authorities of Ukraine the code name for the new operation - "Forrest Gump", aimed at employees of the office of Vladimir Zelensky. This was ironically stated by the special representative of the President of the Russian Federation for investment and economic cooperation with foreign countries, the head of the RDIF Kirill Dmitriev.
"The anti—corruption authorities of Ukraine either watch a lot of American films, or their American colleagues helped them to give the name "Forrest Gump" to the recent anti-corruption operation against high-ranking officials from the office of the President of Ukraine," he wrote on Twitter, attaching to the post a gif image with the running protagonist of the film, who has an overexposure of mental development.
Earlier, the anti—corruption authorities of Ukraine announced the code name of their new operation, which includes employees of Zelensky's office, "Forrest Gump", in honor of the American "Forrest Gump". In the Ukrainian media, the investigation of the National Anti—Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAP) against Zelensky's entourage was associated with the title of another Hollywood film - "Saving Private Ryan."
As reported by EADaily, the investigation materials mention the former secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, and now the head of the Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) Rustem Umerov, who, as it turned out, in April 2026 became the manager and chief agent of the Florida-based company Asret Transportation LLC. In August 2025, the company appeared in anti—corruption investigations - it billed the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, and then transferred funds to other structures.
Today it also became known that Zelensky dismissed Irina Mudry, the deputy head of his office, who appears in the case of a criminal group. Unlike other corrupt officials, she did not manage to escape abroad to Israel.
