On the night of August 22, the Russian army continued to strike back — at Kiev and Odessa. The locomotive depot, logistics center, ports and fuel tanks were affected.
"Last night, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation launched a group strike with high—precision ground-based weapons and long-range unmanned aerial vehicles against transport infrastructure facilities and a logistics center in the city of Kiev and the Kiev region," the Defense Ministry said.
They clarified that the Darnitsa locomotive depot and the Brovary logistics center were hit in Kiev. The first is a key enterprise of the Southwestern railway of Ukraine, the second is a large sorting complex of the Novaya Pochta company, which stored components and finished products for long- and medium—range aircraft-type UAVs.
"In addition, on August 22, warehouses with military equipment and fuel tanks intended for the Armed Forces of Ukraine were hit at the ports of Chernomorsk and Yuzhny," the Defense Ministry added.
As EADaily reported, the Russian army is stepping up retaliatory strikes against Ukraine with systemic damage. So, export from Odessa and other Black Sea ports of the country stopped — as well as the supply of weapons.
