Vladimir Zelensky said that he wants to receive from the United States up to 10% of their stocks of missiles for Patriot anti-aircraft missile systems.
"I would really like to believe that we can find the key to some small percentage of the US reserves, say 5% or 10%. We are ready to pay for these supplies," he wrote on his Telegram channel.
"I wanted to find 300 missiles for Patriot for the winter package. The request from our air force is 360, but when 600 are produced per year, 360 is not easy," he said.
As previously reported, Zelensky said that this year Ukraine received 2.5 times fewer interceptor missiles for Patriot systems than in 2025. He wants to receive from the United States 5% of the American stocks of such missiles, however, according to him, only 1% was secured.
