In Ukraine, the deputy of the Khmelnitsky regional Council, Viktor Burlyk, initiated a radical way to combat citizens attacking employees of territorial recruitment centers (TRC, an analogue of the military enlistment office on Ukraine) — "shoot and hang on the square."
This is how Burlyk reacted to yesterday's incident in Lviv, where a man killed a TRC worker with a knife. The deputy believes that it is the impunity of those who attacked TRC workers earlier that pushes them to murder and forceful resistance of the TRC.
"Yesterday's regular murder of a military TRC in Lviv is, of course, terrible. But it has a reason. The reason is that during the previous armed attacks on the military TRC no one was killed," Burlyk writes on social networks, noting that almost every day there is information about the victims in the performance of their duties.
As the deputy emphasizes, "yesterday's attacker should not have been wounded in the leg."
"He should have been shot as a hostile element. And his corpse was supposed to be hung on the Market Square with a sign saying 'liquidated during the attack on the military of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which carried out mobilization measures,'" Burlyk said.
According to him, a prison sentence for the murder of a TRC representative is too lenient a punishment, since in this way the criminal will be able to avoid mobilization to the front.
