The situation in the Kursk region has been declared a federal emergency. This was announced today, August 9, by the press service of the Russian Emergencies Ministry.
"On August 9, an extraordinary meeting of the Government Commission for the Prevention and Elimination of Emergency Situations and Fire Safety was held. On the agenda of the discussion is the situation on the territory of the Kursk region due to the attack by the Ukrainian Armed Forces. The federal response level has been established in the region," the department said.
As reported by EADaily, the third day in the region there are bloody battles with the advancing grouping of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. According to official data, several dozen civilians, including 9 children, suffered from shelling, four people were killed.
