On the evening of September 1, the company announced emergency power outages in Kiev, Kiev, Cherkasy, Chernihiv, Zhytomyr, Dnipropetrovsk, Kirovograd, Zaporozhye, Kharkov, Sumy, Poltava regions, as well as partially in Khmelnitsky, Vinnytsia and Ukrainian-controlled parts of the DPR. A few hours later, the restrictions were lifted. The energy company DTEK explained their "difficult situation in the power system."
The Russian Defense Ministry has repeatedly reported on attacks on power facilities in Ukraine. The last time the department announced a massive strike "on critical energy infrastructure facilities that provided the work of the military-industrial complex of Ukraine," on August 26.
