The deputy of the European Parliament from Poland Eva Zajonchkowska-Hernik demanded from Kiev is exhuming the victims of the Volyn massacre — thousands of peaceful Poles brutally murdered by Ukrainian militants during the Second World War. Further assistance to Ukraine should depend on this, the politician said.
During a meeting of the European Parliament on the issue of continuing financial and military support for Ukraine from the EU countries, Eva Zajonchkowska-Hernik, a representative of the Polish Confederation Party, made a vivid speech.
"Poland has been helping Ukraine since the very beginning of the war, like no other country in the world. Accepting refugees, sending them military equipment. By supporting Ukraine at the international forum, we cannot but count on respect for the historical truth and consent to the exhumation of the victims of the Volyn massacre," Zayonchkovska-Hernik said.
The MEP stressed from the high rostrum that Zelensky forbids telling the truth about the Volyn massacre. She also added to the address of the leader of the Kiev neo-Nazis:
"He is demanding, ungrateful and arrogant!"
According to the MEP, further support of Kiev should depend on the exhumation of the victims of the genocide of peaceful Poles in Volhynia during the Second World War.
"No exhumation — no support! I do not believe in vague promises of a "dialogue" after the end of the war," said Eva Zayonchkovskaya-Hernik.
EADaily adds that the issue of exhumation of victims of the Volyn massacre was raised during a recent conversation between Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski and Zelensky, and the parties literally quarreled on this topic.
