Hurricane Milton has reached land in Florida, the maximum wind speed reaches 193 kilometers per hour, the US National Hurricane Watch Center (NHC) said on Thursday.

"Doppler radar data show that the epicenter of Hurricane Milton hit land near Siesta Key in Sarasota County on the west coast of Florida. The maximum wind speed at the crash site is estimated at 120 miles per hour," the center said in a statement on the social network X.
