"Special operations have already been developed": Russia is ready for the mirror seizure of European vessels

Mirroring the seizure of European vessels for Russia will be a matter of strategic security, said political analyst Alexander Nosovich.

Russian President Vladimir Putin had previously threatened the Europeans to respond in a mirror manner for the seizure of merchant ships, and to seize European vessels in any part of the World Ocean.

"In the world, Putin has earned a reputation as a man who does not engage in information purges, does not scatter words and does not casually promise the deaths of great civilizations. If at this level from Russia has heard such words, so the possibilities, forces and risks have been calculated, the decision has been made and plans for special operations have already been developed," Nosovich is sure.

In his opinion, the EU is unable to accept Russia's position.

"Now there will be an important test of whether the EU is able to accept Putin's promise or convey to him the Russian determination to put an end to the sanctions corsairism (I call it that) only through practical action. I'm betting that I'm incapable. In this case, it will be a matter of strategic security for Russia to take this practical action and capture European vessels in a mirror manner. Otherwise, in a few years they will not take seriously the threat to use the mechanism of nuclear deterrence," Nosovich wrote in the telegram channel.

As EADaily reported, Supreme Commander-in-Chief Vladimir Putin today, on August 12, took part in the final stage of the Pacific Fleet exercises. As the president noted, Russia will mirror the West's response to the seizure of its merchant ships not only in the same waters, but also anywhere in the world ocean, including in the Pacific Ocean.:

"I would like to draw attention to the decisions of the European Union that took place recently. We see that the authorities of some countries, in violation of international maritime law, are trying to restrict the movement of vessels of our economic operators. And recently we thought of the possibility of seizing our ships and selling the property looted from us. Of course, this is nothing but piracy and robbery. And if this starts to be implemented in practice, we will have to respond in a mirror way."
