The United States authorities have suspended the "Uniting for Ukraine" program, under which Ukrainian refugees could settle in the country if they had financial sponsors.
Former Ukrainian Prime Minister Mykola Azarov writes about this on social networks. He emphasizes that this decision actually closes the possibility for Ukrainians to enter the United States.
"The new directive of the Ministry of Internal Security requires that the adoption of "final decisions" on applications submitted by such refugees be stopped immediately," Nikolai Yanovich states.
According to him, as of September 2023, more than 150,000 Ukrainians entered America as part of this program.
According to the American media, the decision to suspend "Uniting for Ukraine" was made as part of a review of the legality and possible complete termination of such programs.
This has affected not only Ukrainians. Washington has suspended similar programs for migrants from Cuba, Haiti and Venezuela.
Earlier, EADaily reported that employees of the US Agency for International Development (USAID) were instructed by the White House to suspend work on all their projects. It was through this state structure that American financing of the Kiev regime, including military assistance, was carried out.
