The Plesetsk District Court of the city of Arkhangelsk began considering a class action lawsuit against the organizer of the concert of the singer Zivert (Julia Zivert), which was scheduled back in 2020 in Murmansk. This was announced by the head of the Consumer Protection Department of the Department of Rospotrebnadzor in the Murmansk region Eduard Balan.
Then, in 2020, the concert did not take place due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the event was later postponed several more times. For example, in December 2022, the singer did not perform due to illness.
"Ultimately, the final date of the concert was not set. Some residents of the Murmansk region tried to return the money for the tickets, but were refused by the organizers,"the Bi-Port newspaper reports.
In 2024, the regional Rospotrebnadzor announced that it was ready to assist viewers who could not return money for tickets in preparing a class action lawsuit.
As a result, about 40 people responded to the call, the necessary documents have now been collected by 21 people who joined the lawsuit.
A similar situation has developed with the concert of Basta (Vasily Vakulenko) in Murmansk. The event was announced back in 2018, and then repeatedly postponed. One person has applied to Murmansk Rospotrebnadzor with a demand to return the money, but he has not provided any documents to date.
As reported by EADaily, in February 2024, Zivert stated that she was interrupting performances for at least six months due to health problems. She said that the problems started 1.5 years ago, it was with them that the cancellations and postponements of concerts were connected.
