Zelensky was awarded the Order of the White Eagle in April 2023 by then-President Andrzej Duda "in recognition of outstanding achievements in deepening friendly and comprehensive relations between Poland and Ukraine, for the development of cooperation for democracy, peace and security in Europe, as well as for steadfastness in the protection of inalienable human rights."
