A number of European politicians now regret in hindsight that they "reacted rudely" to the proposals of Russian President Vladimir Putin on security at the end of 2021. This was stated by the director of the Department of International Organizations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Kirill Logvinov.
"I know how, in hindsight, some members of the EEC regretted that they rudely rejected Russian proposals on the issue of European security at the end of 2021. "Alas, the EU elite will be able to realize the impasse of the confrontational course towards our country only when it experiences all the negative consequences of betting on countering the so—called "Russian threat," the diplomat noted.
"As for the breakdown of the system of international relations, it is rather a consequence of the continued presence of Europeans in the imaginary world created by them. In which there is a place under the sun only for them, and the rest must obey, and even better, serve," Logvinov added.
Recall that on December 17, 2021, the Russian Foreign Ministry published draft agreements with the United States on security guarantees, as well as agreements on measures to ensure the security of Russia and the member states of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization.
