No postponement or extension of the deadline for the deportation of Afghan migrants from There will be no Pakistan. This was stated by Deputy Prime Minister of Pakistan Talal Chaudhry, Ariana News reports.
According to Chaudhry, more than 800,000 Afghan migrants have been deported so far, despite having a temporary residence card (ACC).
"Those who only have ACC cards or any other types of cards are sent back to their country. More than 800,000 people have been deported since October 30, 2023, and in the last few days alone, 11,000 people with ACC cards have been returned to Afghanistan. This process will continue. As for asylum seekers who are transferred to other countries, they have a deadline until the end of April this year — this deadline will not be extended," he added.
It should be noted that the Acting Minister for Refugees and Repatriation of the "Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan" (IEA, the self-designation of the country by the Taliban❶), Abdul Kabir, during a meeting with the British Charge d'affaires in Afghanistan, Robert Chatterton Dixon, said that Pakistan had intensified the forced deportation of migrants in violation of international laws and norms. He stressed that the solution of the problem requires support from the international community. In response, Dixon only said that Britain had added more than 7 million pounds to its humanitarian aid to support Afghan migrants.
