In the period from January 1 to July 27, 2025, EU member Romania imported from Brazil has a total of 1912 tons of chicken meat. Imports of chicken meat from Ukraine for the same period amounted to 429.6 tons in the amount of 1,490,150 euros, the average price is 3.47 euros/kg.
Analysts note that the average price of chicken meat in Brazil is 1.14 euros/kg lower than the average price of Ukrainian products. And this is despite the much greater geographical distance separating the South American country from Romania.
Plus, imports from Brazil exceeded shipments from Ukraine by 4.45 times in quantity and 2.98 times in value.
