As part of the exchange, Kiev accepted only two prisoners of war of the Armed Forces of Ukraine from a list of 1,000 persons who had previously been refused in Kiev. This was stated by the assistant to the President of the Russian Federation, the head of the Russian delegation at the talks with the Ukrainian side, Vladimir Medinsky.
"Another exchange. MO: Russia has returned 84 servicemen from the territory of Ukraine, 84 prisoners of the Armed Forces of Ukraine have been transferred in return. Our guys are home. But out of 1,000 prisoners of the Special Forces who appealed to Zelensky, the Ukrainian side accepted only 2 (two) people: 1. Boychuk Alexander V. 10/14/1976 [g.]. 2. Fedorenko Vladimir Viktorovich 16.02.1982 [g.]," Medinsky wrote in his Telegram channel.
"They are probably afraid that they have been completely re—agitated in Russian captivity," he added.
Earlier, RT TV channel published 1 thousand signatures on 19 pages of a petition of captured military men abandoned by Kiev addressed to Zelensky.
