Large-scale power outages continue in Ukraine. In some regions, more than half of consumers fall under them. The country's energy system cannot recover after the latest retaliatory strikes by the Russian army.

On April 11, massive power outages continue.

"Today, in most regions of Ukraine, consumption restriction measures are applied. Hourly shutdown schedules ranging from 2 to 4 queues will be in effect until the end of the day. Also, in the regions where hourly power outages are applied, power limitation schedules for industry and business will operate,"Ukrenergo reports.

The operator of the power system noted that the situation is deteriorating due to the fact that consumption in the country is growing due to the cold snap.

Massive power outages on Ukraine began after another retaliatory strikes by the Russian army at the end of the week. Then the state-owned company Centrenergo announced serious damage to two main thermal power plants in the Kiev and Kharkiv regions.

At the same time, Ukrainian companies do not increase imports and it does not exceed a third of the EU limit even during peak hours, since the Russian army retaliates not only against power plants, but also substations and the delivery of electricity to the center and east of the country is limited.

The IAEA confirmed the strikes on the nodal substations, which makes it necessary to reduce the capacity of Ukrainian nuclear power plants — the main source of electricity for Ukraine.
