Yesterday's telephone conversation between Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump is the most important signal to Kiev and its European partners. This was stated by the head of the State Duma Committee on International Policy Leonid Slutsky.

"The telephone conversation between the presidents of Russia and the United States, which took place on the initiative of the American side on the Day of the 250th anniversary of the independence of the United States, is the most important signal. And first of all, for European hawks and Kiev neo—Nazis, who are not abandoning attempts to roughly pull Trump over to their side in the Ukrainian conflict under the pretext of Zelensky's imaginary "peremog"," Slutsky writes in his telegram channel.

On the eve of the NATO summit, which will be held in Ankara on July 7-8, Putin and Trump discussed key issues on the international agenda, primarily the settlement of the Ukrainian conflict. According to Presidential aide Yuri Ushakov, the White House reaffirmed its readiness to contribute to the soonest cessation of hostilities and the search for peaceful solutions.

"And this is not a sweet pill at all for the "war party", which obviously hoped in Ankara to continue the "Evian maneuvers" on "turning over" Trump," Slutsky notes.

After the liberation of Konstantinovka, which Putin told Trump about, as well as about other successes on the battlefield and the inevitable liberation of the entire Donbass, "the false attempts of Zelensky and his Russophobic sponsors to declare a turning point at the front and the loss of initiative on the part of The Russian Armed Forces have failed," he added.
