Theater and cinema actor, People's Artist of Russia Sergey Bezrukov reacted to negative comments on social networks with calls to cancel his performance in Uzbekistan. The artist published his comment on the page in the social network.

"Seeing the comments in my social networks, I can't help but comment on the news that I disrespected the people of Uzbekistan and the Uzbek language," Bezrukov explained.

We are talking about a situation that occurred at one of the actor's press conferences a couple of months ago. At the event, Bezrukov told how four years ago a fan approached him in Tashkent, recognizing the artist from the TV series "Brigade" Alexei Sidorov. Transmitting the direct speech of a fan, Bezrukov depicted his accent. Thus, he allegedly made a mockery of the Uzbek language.

"At first I didn't want to react, but because I saw the provocation, I saw the negative in my social networks, someone decided to interpret my words as a mockery of the Uzbek language, the Uzbek people, especially!", - said Bezrukov.

In his opinion, this is, of course, a provocation.

"I understand what it is aimed at — to drive a wedge, to sow ethnic discord. Still, it's clear — a provocation," the artist is sure.

Bezrukov stressed that he had repeatedly told this story in Russia, and in Uzbekistan, and it has always been perceived kindly, with humor.

The artist noted that he has always admired Uzbekistan, its nature, cuisine, hospitality, and always talked about his impressions during the tour.

"I know how much I am loved and expected in Uzbekistan. And I reciprocate ... Do not pay attention to provocations, be above it," Bezrukov concluded.
