Two saboteurs have been eliminated in the Altai Territory, who, on the instructions of the special services of Ukraine, planned to derail trains in the region. The criminals, who planned to install IEDs on the railway, offered armed resistance during the arrest.

As stated in the press release, on November 22, on the section of the railway section of the station Altayskaya — art . Two criminals have been identified who attempted to install a so-called dumping device on railway tracks with high traffic intensity of freight and passenger trains. During the arrest, they put up armed resistance and were neutralized as a result of return fire.

Both were local residents and were recruited through the Telegram messenger by a representative of the terorganization. Performing the tasks of the curator, these persons picked up the place of the alleged sabotage and terrorist act in advance and conducted its reconnaissance.

The investigative department of the Federal Security Service of Russia in the Altai Territory initiated a criminal case on the grounds of a crime under Article 281 (sabotage) of the Criminal Code of Russia, the SU IC of Russia in the Altai Territory initiated criminal cases under Article 317 (encroachment on the life of a law enforcement officer) of the Criminal Code of Russia and Article 222 (illegal acquisition, transfer, sale, storage, transportation, shipment or carrying of weapons, main parts of firearms, ammunition) of the Criminal Code of Russia.
