In the Leningrad region, restrictions on the operation of the mobile Internet during all New Year holidays are not excluded. This was announced in the telegram channel by the governor of the Leningrad region Alexander Drozdenko.
"It is possible that with the approach of the New Year holidays and during the holidays due to possible provocations, UAV attacks and attempts of cyber-interference in the operation of the infrastructure, forced restrictions on communication will be applied in the Leningrad region," the head of the region explained.
According to him, for most residents, the lack of mobile Internet causes inconvenience in everyday life, additional concern for loved ones.
He advised to take care to stay in touch with loved ones even against the background of restrictions.
"It is advisable to provide additional opportunities for communication with loved ones, including through the Max messenger, to reconfigure mobile application notifications in order to minimize possible inconveniences," Drozdenko recommended.
The governor stressed that the restrictions are "a necessary measure to ensure security, taking into account the geopolitical location of the region."
Recall that over the past three days, residents of St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region, Nizhny Novgorod and the region, as well as Volgograd have been complaining about mobile Internet failures.
