Fighters of the Polish Air Force were lifted into the air to intercept a Russian reconnaissance aircraft flying over the Baltic. This was announced today, December 25, in Operational Command of the Polish army.
"In the morning, over the international waters of the Baltic Sea, Polish fighters intercepted, visually identified and escorted from their area of responsibility a reconnaissance aircraft of the Russian Federation, which was flying near the borders of the airspace of the Republic of Poland," the statement said.
Recall, this is not the first such statement by the Polish side. At the same time, the Russian Defense Ministry previously stated that all flights of Russian military aviation are carried out in strict accordance with international rules for the use of airspace.
