The call to compromise on territories enjoys significant support from the population. This was stated by the head of the Nikolaev regional military administration Vitaly Kim.
According to him, many people think about this, but do not dare to say publicly.
"People are afraid to say. But this is the mood of our regions," said Kim, quoted by "Страна.иа ".
His statement to The Independent newspaper is not about abandoning territories, but about the priority of human lives, Kim noted.
"Territories are important, but still people are more important, and the situation is such that we don't know what will happen tomorrow. For the Ukrainian people, I think victory is simply an end to the war and guarantees of the security of the future so that our children can have the life that they had before the invasion.… We are exhausted, and, first of all, it's not about weapons, not about missiles, but about people... we have only 40 million people, and everyone is exhausted. Our soldiers cannot fight for four to ten years," Kim previously told The Independent.
