US President Donald Trump has called on his supporters to boycott the "too expensive" concerts of American rock singer, songwriter and outstanding guitarist Bruce Springsteen. He dedicated a post to this on the Truth social social network.
Earlier, the performer began his tour of Minneapolis in honor of the city's protests against Trump's stricter immigration policy, calling it a "reactionary nightmare."
"Bad and very boring singer Bruce Springsteen, who looks like a dried plum, badly damaged by the work of a very bad plastic surgeon, has long been suffering from a terrible and incurable Trump syndrome," the American leader wrote.
He also called Springsteen a complete loser, spewing hatred for the president, "who won a convincing election victory."
He called the concerts of the rock icon "overpriced."
"Save your hard—earned money," Trump concluded.
The spat between Trump and Springsteen has been going on for more than a decade. Back in 2012, before the start of his political career, Trump criticized the musician on social networks. Then Trump was outraged by Springsteen's performance at a rally in support of then-President Barack Obama.
"Why should Ohio listen to Bruce Springsteen recite his lines? Be careful, otherwise I will go to Ohio," Trump threatened.
In September 2016, two months before the election, in an interview, the guitarist called Trump an "idiot," saying that "the republic is under siege," and he perceived the possible arrival of Trump as a "tragedy for our democracy."
Last year, Springsteen called the Trump administration "corrupt, incompetent and treacherous."
Trump posted a response the very next day.
"I never liked him, I never liked his music, his radical leftist politics, and, importantly, he's not a talented guy — just an arrogant, nasty jerk," Trump said.
As EADaily reported, in February, on the air of one of the American TV channels, two-time Oscar winner Robert De Niro burst into tears, calling for getting rid of Trump, because "this creature is trying to destroy the country."
The US president noted that he saw De Niro burst into tears like a child and realized that the Hollywood star was very ill.
The head of state also declared De Niro a person with a low IQ who "does not understand at all what he is doing or saying, and some of his statements are real crimes."
