The world chess champion Magnus Carlsen committed a mean act towards an opponent from Kazakhstan. This is reported by prosports.kz .

According to the agency, the incident occurred at the Grenke Freestyle Open tournament in Germany.

Kazakh chess player Alua Nurman, before the match with the champion, asked him to take a photo together. Carlsen agreed to the selfie and put on a welcoming smile. However, after that, he turned to the judges with a complaint against his opponent about the fact that she had a phone with her.

The arbitrators seized the device, making the athlete out of Kazakhstan warning.

The game ended with Carlsen's victory.
