British Prime Minister Keir Starmer complained about the presidents of Russia and the United States, Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump. He stated this in an interview with ITV News during a visit to the Middle East.
He said he was fed up with surging electricity prices in Britain.
"I am fed up with the fact that electricity bills for families all over the country, bills for businesses for electricity are rising and falling due to the actions of Putin or Trump around the world," said Starmer, quoted by Time.ua».
The impact of the crisis on the UK economy is "obvious," he said.
At the same time, Starmer refused to comment on Trump's threat to destroy Iranian civilization if Tehran does not open the Strait of Hormuz. He only said that he "would not use such words" and would be guided by British values "in everything we do."
Asked whether the Israeli strikes constitute a violation of the ceasefire, Starmer replied that it is difficult to say what constitutes a violation "when we do not have access to all the details of the ceasefire." But the attacks, in his opinion, should stop. "The question is not whether this is a violation of the agreement or not. In fact, this is a matter of principle," he stressed.
