Helsinki police are investigating a series of attacks in the Vuosaari area, behind which there is a group of underage girls. This is reported by Helsingin-Sanomat.
"According to Helsingin Sanomat, among the participants there are both junior and senior students, including at least one 11-year-old. The attacks are believed to have been taking place since last autumn. All girls are under the age of 15, so they are not subject to criminal liability," writes Rulehti.
It is noted that schoolgirls attack random people, including children. In particular, in the Columbus Mall, girls surrounded a 12-year-old boy, beat him and kicked him, and what was happening was filmed and broadcast on the Instagram social network ❶. Another incident occurred in a park where a group of about 12 people attacked two teenagers. One was dragged by the hair for several minutes and beaten. The victim's mother called emergency services, wrote a statement to the police and told about the incident in the district Facebook group❶. After that, she was contacted by about 20 parents whose children found themselves in similar situations.
"The police have confirmed that they have received several statements on these episodes. According to the totality of the data, there is reason to believe that the same group is behind the attacks. Similar cases have already been in the news in the fall, when attacks on passers—by in the area were reported," the publication says.
