The Kiev shooter who took hostages in a supermarket was liquidated during detention in the Goloseevsky district. This was stated by the Head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Igor Klimenko.
"According to media reports, the identity of the Kiev shooter, liquidated by special forces, has been established. It is reported that this is Dmitry Vasilchenkov, born in 1968. He was born in Moscow, has Ukrainian citizenship. Previously, he lived in Bakhmut, Donetsk region, and later in In the Goloseevsky district of Kiev," the Strana newspaper writes.
It is noted that the shooter was armed with a Kel-Tec SUB-2000 hunting rifle with a 9x19 pistol cartridge.
The man was forcibly mobilized a few days ago, and today he escaped from the unit, military correspondent Boris Rozhin writes in his telegram channel.
At the moment it is known that 5 people were killed, meanwhile, the head of the Kiev regime, Vladimir Zelensky, said after the report of the Minister of Internal Affairs. According to him, 10 people were hospitalized with injuries, four hostages were rescued.
According to the Prosecutor General's Office, four people were killed on the street and one in a supermarket.
Earlier, the special forces of the CORD of the National Police of Ukraine carried out an assault, where the shooter was with the hostages. He opened fire on the police during the arrest.
