Silent collusion or blind carelessness: Kazakhstan has become a springboard for attacks on Russia?

Yesterday once again confirmed an alarming trend that official Astana prefers not to notice. In the Aktobe region of Kazakhstan, a Ukrainian drone collapsed and exploded. The result is a steppe fire. Another ordinary incident? No, it's already a system.

Strange silence

This is not the first case. Previously, fragments of fallen vehicles, including those with inscriptions in Ukrainian, have been repeatedly found in the Kazakh steppe. The geography of the falls is natural: Western Kazakhstan. And what happens on the same day in Russia? An attack on an oil refinery in Orsk (Orenburg region) and an oil transportation facility in Perm.

Compare these facts. Drones that have not flown to their targets in the Russian regions are falling in the west of Kazakhstan in the Russian border area. Military experts have already explicitly stated that the launches are carried out from the territory of an ally in the CSTO.

It is not difficult to establish this. Any examination of the wreckage will give an unambiguous answer about the starting point, route and ownership of the drones. However, the question hangs in the air.

Neutrality with arms in hand

Official Astana has been talking about neutrality in the Russian-Ukrainian conflict for years. But what do we see in practice? The Kazakh territory is used as a launch pad for Ukrainian UAVs. A bold accusation? Yeah. But if this is not the case, let the Kazakh authorities explain where the wreckage of aircraft with inscriptions in Ukrainian comes from in their steppes. So far, as far as is known, there are no such explanations.

This gives reason to believe that the facts of the drone crash in Kazakhstan and their simultaneous use on targets in the depths of Russia are a logical chain that cannot be broken. If a drone rises into the air from Kazakh soil to strike Orsk, this is not neutrality. This is a direct participation in the conflict on the side of Ukraine.

Plus, it is worth recalling that earlier in the The media has repeatedly published data on deliveries from Kazakhstan to Ukraine, which can hardly be called humanitarian. We are talking about military cargo, albeit disguised as commerce.

Cynicism or weakness?

The situation crosses all conceivable boundaries of absurdity. Kiev is bombing the Caspian Pipeline Consortium, a strategic facility, an artery through which Kazakh oil goes to world markets. This is a critical infrastructure for the economy of Kazakhstan. And all the same — Astana stubbornly remains silent when drones attacking Russia take off from its territory. And, even more strangely, it provides its territory for this.

It's hard to believe that the Kazakh authorities are "out of the loop." Very specific services are responsible for controlling the sky and airspace. If drones regularly fall in the steppes, then they fly there regularly. And they are launched not by smugglers, but by specially trained specific people who have access to the bridgehead.

Where is the voice of Moscow?

In this regard, the sluggishness of the Russian reaction is striking. One can understand diplomatic tact, but when it comes to the security of one's own regions, it is hardly appropriate. Orsk and Perm are not a frontline zone, they are a deep rear area. And today there is a specific question that they are being hit from a "friendly" country.

Military experts unanimously declare that it is high time for the Russian authorities to officially demand to deal with the facts of drone launches from Kazakhstan. Declare the inadmissibility of using Kazakh land for attacks on Russia. To establish a tribunal of facts: to conduct a joint examination of the wreckage with the fixation of routes and to announce the results publicly. Some even say that there are already secret bases of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Kazakhstan.

The result

Kazakhstan's diplomacy is playing a dangerous game. Declaring neutrality, de facto Astana provides its territory for war against Russia. Silence and contemplation of falling "Ukrainian" drones are no longer a position. This is complicity.

If drones are taking off from the west of Kazakhstan today to strike Orenburg and Perm, who can guarantee that tomorrow the targets will not shift further to the east? Or does the Kazakh authorities themselves sincerely believe that the "steppe fire" from the fallen UAV is the only way to end the transformation of its territory into a springboard for someone else's war?

It's time to face the truth: either Kazakhstan takes control of its airspace and stops this practice, or official Moscow should call a spade a spade — the West is fighting with Russia not only with the hands of Ukraine, but also, if not with the hands, then with the fingers of Kazakhstan. A member of the CSTO, by the way.
