For the first time, according to the channel, the responsibilities for holding White House briefings will be distributed among senior administration officials. At the same time, it will be administration officials who will come to the podium, and not White House press service employees, sources said.
White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles is considering possible candidates to replace Leavitt, but there is no clear favorite yet, CBS notes. Scott Jennings was previously named among the possible contenders, but according to sources, he is unlikely to be the final choice.
Leavitt's entire team will continue to work, and her assistant Keegan Nangle will move to the position of an employee responsible for coordinating work with the press. Leavitt herself will move to MAGA Inc. and will continue to be one of the key external advisers to the US president. According to sources, she will also participate in other projects of the administration, which have not yet been officially announced.
