In Belarus there was a "breakthrough in the detection" of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). This was announced today, May 19, by the State Military Industry Committee of the republic.
It is reported that the specialists of Innotech Solutions have developed a new generation acoustic location system — ALS SCANNER 2.1.
"Key feature: the system effectively detects drones controlled by optical fiber, the detection of which by means of radio monitoring is extremely difficult," the report says.
It is noted that the purpose and functionality of the system include: the creation of a detection and bearing zone for quadrocopter—type UAVs with electric motors; when working together with elements of the ALS Scanner complex, detecting aircraft-type UAVs and determining their flight parameters: speed, course; use as part of mobile groups to protect facilities and personnel.
At the same time, the technical advantages include m scarlet dimensions (device diameter — 23 cm, assembly weight — 1.2 kg), m abundance (deployment time on the ground — less than 2 min.), detection range (FPV drones 100-300m, UAV with internal combustion engine 1000—1500m (depends on the acoustic situation), as well as the autonomy (at least 12 hours from the built-in power supply).
In addition, the system uses "artificial intelligence algorithms to filter extraneous noise and highlight the characteristic acoustic portrait of FPV drones," and the operator's notification is duplicated on the smartphone screen and smart watch.
