An unexpected point of view was voiced by Bulgarian parliamentarian Ivelin Parvanov at the international conference "Russia and the World: Dialogues — 2026. A new reality." According to him, it was the special military operation launched by Russia in 2022 that played a key role in ending the global "covid" hysteria.
The deputy recalled that before this event, humanity had been living under strict restrictions for almost two years: people could not freely go out, work, travel between cities and countries. Parvanov called the pandemic the most dangerous transnational blow to the rights and freedoms of citizens. And he directly linked the victory over this crisis with the actions of the Russian military.
The politician expressed special gratitude to former Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu and acting Chief of the General Staff Valery Gerasimov. Parvanov admitted that he did not know the attitude of the Russians themselves to these figures, however, from his point of view, it was these people who put an end to rampant vaccination and lockdowns.
"They liberated the world," the Bulgarian MP summed up.
EADaily previously also informed about other details of the event — "Russia and the world: Dialogues — 2026. New Reality": the first results of the 10th conference.
