Pashinyan "finally went off the rails" — Badalyan

Nikol Pashinyan shouts at the mother who lost her son

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan "finally went off the rails." Mikael Badalyan, a member of the Board of ANO Eurasia, wrote about this on the social network.

"After yesterday's rally of the Strong Armenia party, which was held at After gathering more than 80,000 people in the Republic Square, Pashinyan finally went off the rails, arranging mass searches and detentions throughout the country. Among other things, tomorrow, June 5, he is holding his rally, and absolutely all resources are included for this, people are being forcibly transported from all over the country. However, do you know what is important and indicative? In 2021, when Pashinyan was really confident of his victory, he did not try to gather large rallies at all, and now he is doing it because he needs to create the illusion of support, which he does not have at all today," Badalyan writes.

Parliamentary elections in Armenia will be held this Sunday, June 7, 2026. This vote is called not just a change in the composition of the National Assembly, but a referendum on the country's future geopolitical course: whether Armenia will remain in the EAEU or finally move closer to the European Union.

The main struggle unfolds between the current prime minister and two major opposition forces. Poll data show the leadership of the ruling party, but the high percentage of undecided (about 23%) makes the result difficult to predict.

Polls show that Pashinyan's party is gaining about a third of the vote. This is not enough to form a majority alone, which can lead to a difficult coalition struggle.

In May in Yerevan hosted the first ever EU-Armenia summit, and US President Donald Trump publicly announced his "full and unconditional support" for Nikol Pashinyan on the Truth Social network.
