A high-ranking Ukrainian official said that an explosion in Balashikha killed a GRAU supplier. It is reported by The New York Times.

"... two Russian and two Ukrainian media reported that the deceased was Damir Davydov. A high-ranking Ukrainian official, who wished to remain anonymous... confirmed that Davydov was the victim and said that he was an officer of the supply department of the Main Missile and Artillery Directorate of the Ministry of Defense,"the publication says.

It is noted that, according to the press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov, Vladimir Putin was informed about the incident.

"The details, as you understand, are not subject to disclosure in connection with the investigation that is underway, and, of course, this is a matter of our special services," Peskov added.

Yesterday, one of the foreign agent telegram channels reported that as a result of an explosion in Balashikha, the head of the Main Rocket and Artillery Directorate (GRAU) of the Russian Defense Ministry, Damir Davydov, was allegedly killed, the BBC reports.

As EADaily reported, a man with the rank of lieutenant General from the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation was killed driving a BMW X3 car in Balashikha, in the Aviators microdistrict near Moscow, as a result of an explosion using an IED.
