Serbian police officially announced that 20-year-old Russian Mikhail, whose body was found in Belgrade, committed suicide. Details are provided by the SHOT Telegram channel.
According to Serbian law enforcement officers, a broken glass bottle was found next to the guy, whereas earlier some media reported about a knife found next to the body. But the family of the deceased categorically rejects this version.
Mikhail's mother, who arrived in Serbia, said that she was not allowed to see her son's body in the morgue, citing the "impossibility" of the procedure. The police also refuse to provide surveillance footage.
The woman is sure that her son could not take his own life, and the local authorities simply do not want to investigate the death of a foreigner and look for possible implicated local residents. Plus, the investigators referred to the vacation of the chief specialist in the case and said that they could not help in any way.
