Due to the rejection of affordable and reliable Russian energy resources, the European Union and the United Kingdom faced a shortage of energy for the use of air conditioners against the background of abnormal heat in Europe.
The corresponding statement was published on social networks by the head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF), special presidential representative for investment and economic cooperation with foreign countries Kirill Dmitriev.
According to the TASS news agency, for clarity, the Kremlin representative attached to his posts an image in which German police officers are taking air conditioning out of the house.
"The EU and the UK do not have energy for air conditioners to save people, because they have abandoned affordable and reliable Russian energy," Dmitriev stated.
Recall that Europe was hit by an abnormal heat wave in the last decade of June. The temperature in many countries has exceeded 40 degrees, and the consequences have already led to hundreds of deaths, transport disruptions and emergencies.
Earlier, EADaily reported that according to Dmitriev, the resignation of Keir Starmer from the post of head of the UK government was an important signal for other European leaders who do not want peace with Russia.
