Russian units from the Dnepr group of forces continue to advance in the Orekhovsky sector, which has led to a noticeable subsidence of the front line for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
This was told to the TASS news agency on Thursday, July 16, by a military expert, retired LPR lieutenant colonel Andrei Marochko, citing his own sources.
He noted that the Ukrainian military command focused on ensuring that the AFU grouping did not fall into the cauldron. An order was given to hold positions northeast and southeast of Orekhovo at all costs.
"To the northwest, the enemy also has a well-fortified area. All this is being done so that we do not take the entire Orekhovskaya grouping of Kiev into the cauldron. There is a subsidence of the front of the Ukrainian militants at the Orekhovsky site," the veteran stated.
Earlier, EADaily reported that the military command of the Kiev regime is making efforts to retain the territory of the DPR remaining under its control, for which it is trying to increase the grouping of the Armed Forces of Ukraine at Slavyansk and Kramatorsk.
