The host of the program "Let's go, let's eat!" on the NTV channel, Italian Federico Arnaldi told about the popularity in Italy of the legendary Russian cartoon "Masha and the Bear". This was discussed in an interview with media manager Georgy Lobushkin, which is available in VK Video.
"In Italy, at some point, all the children are just about Masha and her Bear talked. I don't know how it happened, but your cartoon became famous everywhere," he stressed.
Lobushkin agreed that this animated series is popular all over the world.
As EADaily reported, the cartoon "Masha and the Bear" was first released in January 2009. The project has become incredibly popular both in In Russia, and in other countries. On YouTube, episodes of the animated series as a whole have more than 130 billion views, and the series "Masha plus Porridge" entered the Guinness Book of Records as the most viewed animated video on the platform.
Streaming platform Netflix bought the rights to show new seasons of the series in June this year.
