Ukrainians were advised to stock up on food for two months

The Russian Armed Forces may destroy Ukrainian thermal power plants as early as October-November. This was stated in a podcast on the YouTube channel "Naspravdi MACH" by an officer of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, businessman Andriy Onistrat, UNIAN reports.

It is impossible to physically protect thermal power plants from Russian attacks, so we need to prepare for the worst-case scenario, in which there will be no light or heat in winter, the military said.

Onistrat recommended fellow citizens to stock up on generators, inverters and fuel, noting that there would be little use from solar panels in November-January.

In his opinion, the most difficult period will be November and — especially — December. Maksimchuk advises Ukrainians to stock up on food and other essential goods for about two months. And this should be done closer to October, he believes.

As EADaily reported, only the rich can afford to leave the cities for the winter. This was stated by the head of the Union of Consumers of Utilities of Ukraine Oleg Popenko.

So he commented on the frequent corresponding appeals to residents of Ukrainian cities.
