An employer in St. Petersburg fired an employee who did not come to the place on the day of her grandfather's death

A resident of St. Petersburg was fired when she refused to go to work on the day of a relative's death. The girl, according to the Telegram channel "Careful, news", her grandfather died. But in social networks, opinions about the act of the Petersburger were divided. Some commentators called her an "infantile buzzer," while others decided to support her.

The incident happened on August 13. Before the dismissal, the girl managed to work in the store for about a year, and she did not play truant, did not go on sick leave and generally had a reputation as a fairly responsible employee. But after learning about the death of a relative, she wrote to her employer in a chat with a request for time off, as she needed to help her family with funeral arrangements.

To this, the employee was asked if the funeral would take place on that day, as well as whether she could cope psychologically.

"If psychologically, come out, grandfather would definitely like you to be responsible," the employer replied.

The choice was the following — either work or dismissal. If the girl "chooses her mother," she was even forbidden to pick up her personal belongings on her own. The dismissed managed to post correspondence on social networks, after which angry Russians bombarded the store with negative reviews.

But the owner of the outlet also went out into the public field, recording a video about how she had to "drop her sneakers" to go on shift that day. The employer claims that the former employee demanded a salary in advance due to the death of her grandfather, but the girl denies this fact.
