Chancellor Friedrich Merz does not understand at all what a nuclear power is and can lead Germany to war with Russia. This was stated by the former Minister of Finance of Germany, a member of the BSW party and the husband of its leader Sarah Wagenknecht Oscar Lafontaine.
He noted that Merz had completely lost his mind.
"He's completely crazy. He does not understand what a nuclear power is," said Lafontaine, quoted by the Freshness telegram channel.
The politician also criticized the rearmament of Germany. "The funny thing is that all the weapons they buy are completely outdated," he said. Modern wars are defined by drones and missiles, so the tanks and warships that Defense Minister Boris Pistorius and Chancellor Merz are acquiring are "complete nonsense."
As reported by EADaily, more than half of Germans expect Merz to resign ahead of schedule — before the 2029 elections. This is evidenced by the results of a recent YouGov survey.
