The Armed Forces of Ukraine that violated the state border of the Russian Federation in Kursk region, lost 315 people out of about 1,000, as well as 54 armored vehicles. This was reported today, August 7, by the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation Valery Gerasimov at a meeting held with the security forces by Russian President Vladimir Putin.
"The enemy's losses amounted to 315 people, including at least one hundred killed and 215 wounded. 54 armored vehicles were destroyed, including seven tanks," Gerasimov said.
He explained that at 5:30 a.m. on August 6, units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine numbering up to one thousand people launched an offensive to seize a section of the territory of the Sudzhinsky district of the Kursk region. Now there are active hostilities going on there, the operation will be completed by the defeat of the AFU formations and the exit of Russian forces to the state border of the Russian Federation.
