Mercenaries from private military companies (PMCs) from the USA and The British who participated in the attack on the Kursk region fled the Russian region after a week of fighting.
This was stated in an interview with the Izvestia news agency by the commander of the Akhmat special forces reconnaissance group with the call sign Aid.
"On the first day, it was not just foreign or Georgian legions, where Poles or Georgians serve. There were serious PMCs, the so-called FOG and foreign companies in the UK. But they left here together," the Russian military said.
According to him, foreigners are used to fighting in "ideal conditions," and in Kursk "they were promised one thing, but it turned out another." The mercenaries were not ready for intense battles and lasted only a week. Hades also said that foreign legionnaires in Ukraine do not participate in assault operations.
"They perform the functions of the DRG, snipers, special, barrage detachments of sweeps. For such a thankless task as the meat assault, there are riders," said the commander of the reconnaissance group.
Earlier, EADaily reported that the military command of the Kiev regime withdrew foreign mercenaries from the territory of the Kursk region due to the heavy losses they suffered.
