Kazakhstan postponed the sale of tickets for West's concert due to the indignation of football players

Ticket sales for the concert of American rapper Kanye West (Ye) in Alma-Ata were postponed for a day after the protest of the football players of the Kairat club. However, the date of the concert remains unchanged, the co-organizers of the show, First Media Group and Freedom Holding, said in a statement.

West's planned concert at the Central Stadium of Almaty on August 14 became known on Friday, July 17. On July 20, the exclusive ticket sale in the Freedom Bank application was supposed to start, which was supposed to end on July 21. However, Kairat stated that West had to agree on the date of his show with the club, since home matches should be held on August 8 and 15, and matches from August 11 to August 13 were also not excluded.

"In light of the current situation with the Kairat football club... the start of ticket sales for the Ye concert is postponed to July 21, at 12.00... The date and venue of the concert remain unchanged: the event will take place on August 14 at the Central Stadium in Almaty," the concert organizers said in a statement.

Now the pre-sale has been postponed to July 21, it will last a day, after that tickets will be available for everyone on the Ticketon portal.kz from July 23.

Kairat is a team that we wholeheartedly support and admire. Therefore, we are currently engaged in a constructive dialogue to find the most appropriate solution," the organizers also noted.

As EADaily reported, Kanye West will give a full concert in Kazakhstan for the first time. In 2013, he took part in the wedding of the grandson of ex‑President Nursultan Nazarbayev privately at the Royal Tulip Hotel.

Kairat is a Kazakhstani professional football club from Almaty, founded in 1954. The club is a multiple champion of Kazakhstan, now playing in the Premier League. The Central stadium of Almaty is the home stadium of the club.
