Sberbank customers are faced with an erroneous double debit of funds from their cards due to a technical glitch in payment POS terminals.
This information was published by RBC with reference to sources in the payment and banking markets. According to available information, those customers who paid for purchases at Sberbank's POS terminals suffered.
As one of the sources explained, this problem affected the entire banking market, as Sberbank has the largest in A network of payment terminals in Russia.
It has already been established that erroneous write-offs occurred only on the cards of the Visa payment system, which continues to operate within our country through the National Payment Card System.
The agency reports that credit and financial institutions are currently double-checking card transactions and returning money written off by mistake to customers.
Earlier, EADaily reported that Sberbank received an additional limit of funds for issuing a family mortgage in the amount of 90 billion rubles.
