The head of the European Commission (EC), Ursula von der Leyen, is trying to arrange a meeting with US President-elect Donald Trump, but so far to no avail. This was announced at a press conference in Brussels by EC spokeswoman Paula Pinho.
"There are no scheduled meetings at the moment. There are attempts to arrange a meeting as soon as possible, but there is no specific date for such a meeting yet," she said, according to TASS.
The inauguration of US President Donald Trump will take place on January 20. The head of the European Commission is not invited to the ceremony.
