In the Kamensky district of the Dnipropetrovsk region of Ukraine on Friday morning, March 28, a man's corpse with a gunshot wound to the head was found on the side of the road.
This fact was confirmed today by the press service of the regional department of the National Police. A criminal case has been opened. The investigative and operational group and the forensic laboratory are collecting material evidence to establish all the circumstances of the crime.
At the same time, law enforcement officers do not report any information about the identity of the deceased. However, local publications inform that the corpse found on the road belongs to the former deputy mayor of Kamensk, Alexander Plahotnik.
It is also known about the deceased that he was the permanent and long-term top manager of Yulia Tymoshenko, who heads the Batkivshchyna party and the faction of the same name in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
Oleksandr Plahotniuc was Yulia Tymoshenko's lawyer during her trial in 2011 during the time of President Viktor Yanukovych. He remained a confidant of Yulia Vladimirovna, despite the many scandals surrounding his person.
As EADaily reported, earlier Yulia Tymoshenko criticized the head of German intelligence Bruno Kahl, who advocated the continuation of the war in Ukraine "for the sake of security in Europe," calling for an immediate cease-fire.
