The Czech police are monitoring the movement of the Night Wolves club, whose members visit memorable places in honor of the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II. This was reported in the Czech Interior Ministry.
According to the head of the department, Vit Rakushan, the police are ready to intervene if the protesters violate the law, including supporting Russia's actions on Ukraine.
"The police are ready to check the availability of residence permits from foreigners, regional criminal police units and investigations dealing with extremism will also be involved in the process, and experts from the National Center for Combating Terrorism, Extremism and Cybercrime will be involved at the central level," Rakushan wrote.
He recalled that since 2022, Russian members of the Night Wolves have been banned from entering EU countries, as they were included in the sanctions lists. According to the minister, only members of the European branches of the Night Wolves, one of which operated in the Czech Republic, are likely to be sent to Berlin.
"However, the court in Brno at the end of last year decided to liquidate the NV Europe MC organization, under which the Czech Night Wolves operated, for failure to fulfill legislative duties," Rakushan added.
Earlier, the European branch of the motorcycle club on Saturday drove through the territory of Slovakia. It was reported that the trip will continue through the Czech Republic to Berlin.
