The State Migration Service (GMS) of Ukraine has added the passport of the main person involved in the corruption scandal around Energoatom to the list of invalid documents.
This information is posted on the agency's website. The reasons for invalidating the passport are not publicly available.
However, the legislation stipulates that this may result from loss, cancellation, registration of a new document or other legal grounds.
At the same time, the fact of invalidity of the document is not a confirmation of a change in civil status. That is, Mindich is not formally deprived of Ukrainian citizenship.
Meanwhile, the US State Department showed much greater efficiency in this case — Mindich was deprived of an American visa.
According to Ukrainian media, the decision of the State Department to cancel Timur Mindich's ten-year visa ahead of schedule was made on November 13 due to a "change in circumstances."
Recall that Mindich, nicknamed "Zelensky's wallet," is a key figure in a corruption scheme in the energy sector and left the country before the NABU searches as part of Operation Midas. He is currently hiding in Israel.
Earlier, EADaily reported that for corruption on Ukraine should be responsible not only for the representatives of the Kiev regime themselves, but also for those European countries that covered it. So says the Polish newspaper Mysl Polska.
